When Lucid went electric

Lucid started as Atieva, a battery-pack supplier, and renamed itself in 2016 before building the Air, which reached customers in October 2021 as a 2022 model. The Gravity SUV followed, and Lucid licenses its drive units to other manufacturers as well as building its own cars.
