DC fastHow this directory is built
Data, not reviewsThe network's own record
The name, the address, the connectors, the power and the tariff are taken from the operator — nothing is averaged across operators or guessed.
Connectors verified per station
J1772, CCS1, NACS and CHAdeMO are recorded exactly as the station reports them, so a filter never promises a plug the station does not have.
Prices in the unit quoted
3,805 stations quote a per-kWh tariff; the median is $0.35. Stations that bill per minute or per session say so instead of showing a made-up number.
What public charging costs
Of the 3,805 stations that quote a price per kilowatt-hour, the median is $0.35 and 2,465 charge $0.40 or less. DC fast charging usually sits above Level 2, and a session fee or an idle fee can be added on top.

Common questions
Charging in the USHow many public EV charging stations are there in the United States?
This directory lists 6,338 public EV charging stations with 21,797 charging stalls across 23 states and 1,801 cities. 3,944 of them are open around the clock.
Which EV connector is most common in the United States?
J1772 is the Level 2 plug at most of the stations here (5,294 stations). CCS1 is the common DC fast connector (930), NACS is the Tesla standard that most new cars are moving to (517), and CHAdeMO serves older Japanese imports (364). One station can carry more than one type.
How much does public EV charging cost per kWh?
Of the 3,805 stations here that quote a per-kWh price, the median is $0.35 and 2,465 charge $0.40 or less. Networks set their own tariffs, and some bill per minute or per session instead of per kWh.
Can I filter stations by charging speed?
3,808 stations here are Level 2 (under 50 kW), 749 are DC fast (50 kW or more) and 221 reach 150 kW or more. The power filter narrows the list to any of those bands.
